Our Story
Summerfest is Kirkland’s premier music and arts festival — returning for its 8th year in 2019, this three-day tour de force boasts dozens of live performances, outdoor entertainment venues, purveyors of fine foods, local beers, and wines and interactive activities. This festival returns to the picturesque shores of Lake Washington July 26-28, 2019. With over 35,000 attendees, Summerfest is Kirkland’s signature event of the year.
Kirkland Summerfest supports local nonprofits including the Kirkland Downtown Association.
About Kirkland
The Kirkland area is the state’s rare jewel: a small, friendly town with big city sophistication; a ride away from Seattle, with institutions of higher education and high-tech research centers, nestled in a peaceful lakeside setting; a close-knit community of charming neighborhoods with a rich mix of cultures.
Kirkland is located in western Washington, across Lake Washington from Seattle in what is referred to as
the Eastside. This bustling group of communities has a vibrant arts and cultural scene including theaters, music venues, museums, galleries, tourist venues, and street fairs. Kirkland Summerfest is one of the area’s key attractions, with the warm weather offering a perfect opportunity for outdoor concerts, picnics along the lake, wine tasting, art browsing, and dining al fresco.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting, summer is a great time to be in Kirkland. Make the most of Summerfest by indulging in a long weekend at one of our partner hotels, seeing a few shows, and sampling cuisine at one of our local eateries. So come to Kirkland Summerfest in August, stay and play in true style, and enjoy all that this community has to offer you.
